The aim of this workshop is to help you embrace a sense of playfulness in art-making, discover the joy of mixed media, and, above all, teach you new skills.
We begin with sketches using drawing materials to get a ‘feel’ for sunflower's shape and texture - this will help in building confidence and skills
Then we explore and experiment with the variety of applications and mediums to make your work loose and expressive.
For the remainder of the day, we dive into producing many artworks, of which can be used for further explorations or framed for your home.
Provided in this workshop:
All mediums
Fresh Sunflowers
All artwork papers
All paints
Morning tea of cakes/biscuits, cheese and biscuits.
Get ready to roll up your sleeves and have fun.
**I will have loads of paper for sketching, but if you wish to keep your work in a Visual Journal/Sketchbook, bring it along, but it isn't necessary.
Please BYO your lunch
I will encourage you to embrace the challenge of pushing your boundaries, to let go of expectations, to be open to learn from your mistakes, but most importantly, have fun and enjoy the process! After all, art making is just practice.
